Her secret to success? ‘I was trained by greats in the industry, along with Emmy-Award winning stylist.
As a teenager, Jazmayne spent weekends washing hair in her mother’s salon to make extra money. Initially, she did not envision a career in styling until she began braiding hair in high school and started a huge phenomenon of young girls rocking the original Alicia Keys look in 2001. After winning multiple hair show competitions in college, she discovered a love of creativity and transformation that would ultimately change her life.
Jazmayne has quickly emerged as a wardrobe / hairstylist in the Los Angeles, California area. She combines traditional hair care with innovative styling techniques. Jazmayne can do it all. Her love for high-end fashion speaks in her productions. ‘I love expressing myself through Visuals. There are no boundaries,’ Jazmayne explains. Her creativity led to creating looks for several actress', working on the set of various productions, music videos, and many more big accomplishments.
In addition to professional styling, Jazmayne is a self-taught set designer, artist and fashion consultant. She created Glam Squad LA, a professional consultancy business, to combine her loves of hair care, fashion, and makeup application. From sweet sixteen celebrations to the runway, Jazmayne makes clients over from head to toe. She is a ‘one-stop shop’ for all things beauty!
Jazmayne’s work ethic speaks for itself. She has been featured in reputable publications, and was a Top 5 finalist for WeTV's LA Hair, Telemundo's Chiquis N' Control, Oxygen’s Hair Battle Spectacular. Her ultimate goal is to curate music videos, print campaigns, travel internationally as a stylist for avant garde runway shows, and eventually try movie & film production.
